Velvet Deer Antler: Nature's IGF-1

I stumbled across Velvet Deer Antler when I was asked to research it and speak about it on a health TV show.
What is it:
On the surface, velvet deer antler is exactly what it sounds like. It is a velvety layer of skin that covers the bone and cartilage that eventually develops into a deer's antler as they are growing. Once the their growth cycle finishes the deer knocks the velvet off by rubbing against a tree.
It is mostly found in New Zealand and is harvested 100% humanely.
In my opinion, it is a fantastic supplement. It is naturally made up of eight growth factors including IGF - 1, pro hormones, sterols, cartilage components and a full profile of branch chain amino acids among many other things.
How do you take it:
It comes in a spray bottle and you spray it in your mouth three times daily. It is very simple to take and ingest.
Secret Weapon - IGF-1:
IGF-1 is the active ingredient when you body creates and secretes human growth hormone. Many studies of IGF-1 have been linked to many human benefits including:
  • Faster Recovery
  • Increased Sexual Function in Men and Women
  • Increased Testosterone Production
  • Faster Cell Regrowth (Anti Aging)
  • Increased Strength and Stamina
Who uses Velvet Deer Antler:
It was first noted ten thousand years ago in ancient scrolls. According to research it was used for many medicinal purposes. Reports from documents thar are over two thousand years old show that Asian countries used Velvet Deer Antler to treat sexual dysfunction. In fact, to this day Asian countries import more than 80% of the Velvet produced.
Dating back into the 1960s and 1970s many countries, including Russia's Olympic Weightlifting team, began using this natural source of IGF-1 as a replacement to steroids and other anabolic compounds.
Today, many professional sports teams use Velvet Deer Antler as a performance supplement.
Legality in Sports
Velvet Deer Antler and 1GF-1 were banned substances in most professional sports leading into 2013. The substance has also had it's fair share of controversy as professional athletes have been accussed of using it as a banned performance enhancer. The manufacturers of the substance have lobbied far and wide to have the antler lab tested and verified by the World Doping Administration. The World Doping Administration removed antler from the banned substance list in May of 2013. 1GF-1 is still a banned substance of 2013.

An Easy Way to Get Superfoods Into Your Real Life Daily Diet

We all want to be healthy. There are plenty of ways to lose weight fast, and other outlandish claims made on late night TV.
I think most people can agree, on the basics:
1. Eat well
2. Drink water
3. Avoid bad behaviors (smoking)
4. Support your immune system
5. Sleep (well)
6. Exercise
7. Personal Hygiene
I am not going to tell you about some amazing new DVD program that will 'melt off the pounds'. What I found is a super-food supplement. Don't get your recommend vegetables in each day- like everyone, Fear not.
Superfoods have been around for a while. They offer many health advantages, valuable vitamins-but tasted horrible. Until now. Nutri Dyn came out with a line call: Dynamic Greens. Just mix a scoop into a glass of water, and actually enjoy the flavor, while your body reaps the benefits.
Superfoods do not fight crime. Typically do not wear caps, or have invisible jets (but they might - if they are invisible how would we know). A super food is an item with health-promoting properties- usually high content of vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants. Often blueberries are considered the baseline superfood.
Look for a superfood to give your body all of these health benefits:
improved energy
metabolism
fat-burning
digestion
detoxification
immunity
repair
recovery
revitalization
and longevity
A superfood should be added to your daily Regimen. If you are the type of person (everyone) who doesn't get their daily 9-11 vegetable and fruits a day, this will help bridge the gap. This is not meant to be a replacement for eating your veggies, but it does have a ton of vitamins. Its made of organic foods, and packed with the vitamins your body needs to run at its best. Its just a painless (and decent tasting) way to get your body what you know it needs.
We'll keep you posted when they come up with a powder that makes these things easy: Drink water, Avoid bad behaviors, Support your immune system, Sleep, Exercise, and Personal Hygiene.
Until then here are some painless ways to get your body into a healthier state of being: drink a tall glass of ice water when you wake up. Quit smoking immediately (use the patch!). Intake a real, fresh fruit and vegetable every day, an apple a day... Close the curtains when you sleep to minimize distractions. Take the stairs when you can. Wash your hands often.

How To Prevent CoQ10 Deficiency

One of the substances that is indispensable in your body's energy production is Coenzyme Q10 or CoQ10. The substance is needed by the mitochondria, the cells' powerhouses, to convert food into energy. This energy is what your organs use to function properly. Thus, it is very important that you maintain sufficient levels of the substance in your body. However, some factors may result to CoQ10 deficiency, including age, diet, and use of certain of medications. When you have insufficient levels of the substance in your body, you may experience weakness and fatigue, or you may develop hypertension and other heart-related conditions and diseases. There are certain measures you can take to prevent CoQ10 deficiency, though.
Make sure your diet includes foods that are rich in Coenzyme Q10. Meat and meat products, especially beef liver, are good sources of the substance. You can also get your source of the substance from certain oils, such as soybean oil, cottonseed oil, and corn oil. In addition, you can get it from certain kinds of fish such as tuna, sardine, cuttlefish and mackerel. Other good sources of the substance include soybeans, peanuts, hazelnuts, eggs, broccoli, spinach, cauliflower, carrots, sweet pepper, and garlic.
While the body naturally produces Coenzyme Q10, its levels in the body diminish as you grow older. Also, if you are taking certain medications such as statins and beta blockers, you are more likely to develop CoQ10 deficiency. You can prevent the deficiency by taking a CoQ10 dietary supplement, which usually comes in capsule form. It is recommended that a 200-mg capsule be taken twice a day, twenty to thirty minutes before meal a meal with an eight-ounce glass of water.

All In One Pre Workout Supplements - Choosing The Best

There's no doubt that if you've spend some time in the gym, opened up a bodybuilding magazine, or visited your local health food store, you have no doubt seen several product advertisements for pre workout supplements. It's true that these supplements are the most popular bodybuilding supplements on the market, but with the constant flood of products on the market, which ones are considered to be the best? Im going to go over some of the top pre workout supplements on the market to date so you can make some smart buying decisions next time you're in the market for one.
First, before we get into that you need to understand a few basic rules in regards to these supplements because they do differ and address different needs of bodybuilders. The first point about these supplements is that they contain stimulants such as Caffeine and Taurine. If you are sensitive to caffeine than you may want to opt for a non-stimulant pre workout product to avoid any side-effects.
The next major difference between these supplements is the inclusion of creatine.
Some pre workout powders have 1 or more types of creatine in them, whereas others do not and simply supply energy and N.O precursors. So you would need to decide if you want creatine in your supplement in order to narrow down your search.
Now let's get to the supplements.
I'm going to mention 2 of the most popular pre workout supplements on the market that are considered all in one pre workout supplements because they contain creatine and stimulants as well as many other muscle building nutrients.
BSN N.O. Xplode 2.0
One of the most vastly advertised dietary supplements known as "BSN N.O. Xplode 2.0" and it is categorized as a nitric oxide supplement which is real popular now with bodybuilders. This supplement has a whole lot of ingredients in it including: various forms of creatine, caffeine, beta-alanine, and L-Arginine, just to name a few. L-Arginine is meant to force-feed your muscles vital nutrients by increasing blood flow in your veins, thus creating that muscle-pump that you often hear about. If you read any NO Xplode 2 reviews, you will notice that it is a very well-rounded supplement and is actually classified as a pre workout supplement due to its energy and muscle-building properties. There is a good amount of stimulants in it so make sure to start with a minimum dose to assess your tolerance.
BPI Sports: Pump-HD
Pump-HD is another very popular all in one pre workout supplement because it has 3 characteristics that weight lifters and athletes look for:
  1. Good stimulants
  2. Creatine Monohydrate
  3. Nitric Oxide precursors
There is about 300 mg of caffeine anhydrous per serving in Pump-HD which is about as much caffeine as 3 cups of coffee. This is a very good amount of stimulants if you like that caffeine rush, but if you aren't used to it, try a ½ serving so you don't get to jittery.
There is also 2000 mg of creatine monohydrate per serving which is actually not considered to be a full daily dose, but about half. The good thing about taking this amount of creatine is that it is not too much where you could get an upset stomach, which may occur if you are taking 4-5 g before you work out.
The last major benefit to taking this supplement is the nitric oxide precursors. A nitric oxide precursor is any substance that stimulates the production of nitric oxide or a "muscle pump". Since the word "pump" is right there in the name, you know that PUMP-HD is going to deliver on just that. I can say that when I took PUMP-HD, I really felt the pump and it made me workout harder and for a longer period of time. It was quite enjoyable and I was able to get the most out of my workout.
Whatever supplement you decide to go with, make sure you read up on some reviews and testimonials so you can make some good buying decisions. Most of these supplements will last you about 30 days so it's important to choose wisely.
Justin Flex is an author and bodybuilder and has reviewed numerous bodybuilding supplements including protein, creatine, pre workout, creatine, and BCAA supplements. To read more in-depth reviews on N.O. Xplode 2.0 and Pump-HD please visit -------> BSN NO Xplode Review

Can Glutathione Supplements Benefit You?

Glutathione supplements
Touted in recent years in the fight against aging, it's the most essential molecule you need to prevent diseases and stay healthy. It acts as an antioxidant, a detoxifier and an immune booster. That's why many call it the master detoxifier, the mother of all antioxidants and maestro of the immune system. You'll find thousands if not millions of medical articles on the Internet talking about it. So what is it? I am talking about glutathione.
What is glutathione?
Produced by the liver, glutathione consists of three amino acids-cysteine, glutamate and glycine. It's found in every cell, and this explains why it's the most powerful antioxidant as it rids the body of free radicals resulting from the metabolic function. Simply put, it facilitates the repair of damaged cells thus promoting intracellular health that help us be strong, full of energy and fight off any disease coming our way.
The unfortunate news is that toxins, pollution, poor diet, stress, trauma, infections and radiation, however, deplete our glutathione. As a result, our livers get damaged and overloaded making them unable to carry out detoxification. This leaves us susceptible to free radicals, cancer and infections thus explaining why nearly all extremely ill patients have glutathione deficiency. When the toxic load becomes too large, we are in big trouble unless, of course, we take glutathione supplements to help liver produce adequate glutathione.
Benefits of glutathione
Anti-aging
Although an antioxidant itself, glutathione recycles antioxidants Vitamin E and Vitamin C helping protect against oxidative stress and damage that causes aging. It also helps detoxify the body and regulate the immune system thus helping prevent heart diseases, high blood pressure, age-related eye disorders and other illnesses that come with older age. This helps in the battle against loss of vitality hence increasing longevity.
Removes heavy metals
Glutathione is purported to detoxify the body by removing heavy metals such as mercury. It does this by attaching its sulfur molecule to mercury, thus chelating mercury and sending it into bile for excretion. This helps prevent issues in the gastrointestinal, nervous and reproductive systems.
Detoxifies the liver
The liver detoxifies in two phases and glutathione plays a crucial part in detoxifying it, especially in the second phase.
Peak performance
Glutathione helps us reach peak physical and mental function. Raised glutathione levels reduce recovery time, decrease muscle damage and fatigue, increase strength and endurance and increase energy. When you are old or sick or just not in peak shape, you likely have glutathione deficiency.
Disease prevention
Glutathione supplementation may help to treat or prevent conditions associated with impaired immune function. These include asthma, hepatitis, radiation poisoning, cancer aids Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases.
Until recent discoveries on liposomal glutathione delivery, taking glutathione supplements orally doesn't raise glutathione levels since it's destroyed by stomach acid. Liposomal fat bubbles enable the glutathione to be delivered directly into the cells without being destroyed by the digestive process. Only use supplements that can be effectively absorbed from the intestinal track to enhance glutathione production.
Knowing the benefits of glutathione means one thing: we need to supplement glutathione failure to which we put ourselves at huge risk of disease or a downward spiral of chronic illness. After all, it's critical in helping our immune system do its job of fighting infections. My resolution, therefore, is as good as yours; give my body everything it requires to produce the needed glutathione necessary to fight off disease.
Learn how supplementation with Liposomal Glutathione is absorbed directly into the cells and can give your body all the health benefits of glutathione.
